this morning i give jackie a call before heading off to work.
i got her voicemail so i left her a guilt message rambling on about how i’m by myself in a new country and heading off from my tiny apartment to work with a bad foot – and she’s staying with our friend chris, spending time with gromit, and wondering what she will do all day since she’s not working.
well, actually i didn’t lay it on thick enough. she called me back a bit later. she said she couldn’t take my call as she was getting a pedicure…
